Weight Room Policies

In addition to the building and general use policies, members utilizing the weight room must adhere to the following policies:

Members may be billed for late, damaged or lost college equipment utilized by them.

Weights and weight stacks may not be slammed or dropped.

Gym chalk is not permitted.

Use collars with all bars in free weight lifting stations.

Tape is not allowed on any equipment.

All open wounds must be completely covered while using equipment.

During peak hours, or while others are waiting, limit your workout on the cardio equipment to 30 minutes.

Use spotters when using free weights.

No snatches or overhead press.

Do not drop weights above knees.

Return equipment and rack weights when finished.

Wipe down equipment after use.

Pick up towels, water bottles, magazines, etc. when finished.

Use weight lifting belts as appropriate.

Notify staff immediately if you notice any broken, damaged, or unsafe equipment.

December 14, 2024 – January 8, 2025

December 14–15 Closed
December 16–20 6:00am–4:30pm
December 21 – January 5 Closed
January 6–8 6:00am–4:30pm

If campus is closed, the Health Education Services Center is also closed. This includes weather-related closings. See scheduled college closings.
